2008 Donruss Black Box Football Cards
This morning I got up and checked out YouTube to see if there were any new box breaking videos to qui vive for. One of the new videos I found was a box of 2008 Donruss Frowning Box football cards. To be honest, I never really heard about this yield since it just came out. After reading about it I found out that this upshot contains 7, yes, 7 1/1 cards per load, 2 of the 7 will be autographed. I couldn't have faith what I was reading. It looks like what Donruss has done is take all those printing plates that they have been storing up and putting them into these boxes. There are no new cards in these boxes. All of the cards are printing plates from older products. Donruss gave these boxes out at this year's Merchandising Show in Arizona. They have been doing this for the past few years. It quite won't become a mainstream product. I remember a every so often old-fashioned when it was hard to pull out an insert card numbered to 1000. Now you can get 7 1/1's in a separate box. This is one of the more interesting products that I would be willing to give a try. You can't go diabolical with getting 7 1/1's in one box. I'm glad to see Donruss using all those printing plates. Donruss uses the least amount of printing plates in the relaxation. Topps and Upper Deck have inserted many more. I can't shelved to see the day when a company comes out with a product that has a 1/1 in every box and isn't a printing panel from an older product. I'm sure it will come about. What comes after having a 1/1 in every box??? How about a card numbered 0/0. But those don't stay alive yet. I'm glad Donruss's Black offering isn't like Upper Decks'.
